If you’re reading this review chances are you may be considering becoming a distributor with Rodan and Fields. Before you join I think you should read this review. I’m a big advocate of education. So before you join you need to learn about and consider a few things about the company that you are interested in joining.

Rodan and Fields Scam?

To clear the air, Rodan and Fields is definitely not a scam. It is actually one of the best companies and I’ll show you my seven criteria for knowing so.

So let’s start with the background of the company and the founders. Rodan and Fields is a company founded in 2002 and is member of the DSA. The DSA is the direct selling association and any company that is part of this association has high business standards that they have to abide by thus giving the company credibility. The products include various skin care lines, but it’s not your average skin care lines. Dr. Rodan and Dr. Fields are Stanford trained dermatologists. And, by the way, they are the creators of Proactiv. So they’ve dominated the acne market for years. They recognized that the market place has a need for high quality dermatological strength skin care.

That’s the background, but there are several things to consider before your join a network marketing company such as:

1. I’ll go over these particulars for Rodan and Fields. You need to understand something before you join any network marketing or mlm company. The old school ways of recruiting are all but obsolete. Some people still make it work through much time and effort, but there are more efficient ways to build your business. I’m referring to building your business leveraging the internet. You need to join someone that can help you develop an online presence and help teach you attraction marketing. You can join your cousin or best friend and try to build your business by handing out flyers and going to the Panera Bread to prospect or you can learn how to attract people to your business through education and leveraging the internet.

2. Obviously company stability is important. It’s also just as obvious that Rodan and Fields is very stable even though it is still pretty new. With the reputation of the doctors and the high demand for their products and the high demand for viable home business opportunities, the future of Rodan and Fields looks extremely bright.

3. Company Saturation is important because some companies have been around a long time and are saturated. The companies that are big and have been around a long time have more leaders in them and it’s harder to recruit people because there is more inter-company competition. However I believe that if you were to join one of these companies that you could still be successful if you leveraged the internet properly. But you want to build your business as smoothly as possible so it’s better to look for up and coming companies. Rodan and Fields is a ground floor opportunity, but the company is already credible because of the doctors that founded it. You couldn’t ask for a better situation.

4. Company Marketing Rules are important because if you can’t market how can you really expect to grow your network marketing business. Some companies don’t allow it at all. I wouldn’t join a company that doesn’t allow its reps to leverage the internet. The first company I was with didn’t allow marketing so I tried many of the old school networking methods (which I talk about in my book). Anyway, it is too difficult to build a business unless you are allowed to market. However, every company has its rules about what you can and can’t say and post due to legal reasons of course.

5. Compensation plans are important because that’s how you get paid. There are different comp. plans out there, but compressed comp. plans are the best because they pay everyone instead of paying the top a few a whole lot. It adds stability because people get paid even when they do a little. So even the new distributors can make some money. The Rodan and Fields compensation plan provides 4 ways to get paid. You can make upfront income through retail profits and personal commissions. You can build residual income through the company’s 5-level override payout as well as several performance bonuses you can qualify for based on your production. This comp. plan is more than fair and will be very lucrative given dedication and commitment.

6. The product lines include dermatological strength skin care lines. The doctors developed a new acne regiment known as Unblemish. They also have several other high quality lines such as Anti-Age, Reverse (sun damage), Essentials, Soothe, and Enhancements. The anti-age market by itself is annually over 2.5 billion and is expected to increase. They have patents on their Anti-Age regiment. It has what’s called an AMP-MD roller that has 200 micro needles that are designed to produce micro-channels in the skin so that the night serum can reach deeper in the skin therefore multiplying results. There is high demand for quality skin products and the market is increasing annually.

7. The overhead to enter the company is right around the preferred costs. It doesn’t cost thousands of dollars, but it’s not around $50 either. You can become a Rodan and Fields consultant for $395, $695, $995. The more you spend the better deal you’re getting. Most people join in on the $695 or $995 kits. These are better equipped for the serious business builder.

Overall network marketing is more than just this company vs that company or this comp. plan vs that comp. plan. It’s about joining someone that can help you and teach you how to leverage the internet. Rodan and Fields is a great company and a great home based business opportunity. I put a lot of research into different companies. This company is one of the best opportunities out there. Back in my ignorance, I dealt with a company that prevented me from marketing. So I know that Rodan and Fields is a great instrument to achieve financial and time freedom, but it ultimately comes down to… can you generate high quality leads daily and leverage the internet to build a long lasting business asset.
